 I loved how Daphne painted her feelings on the canvas and how she couldn’t be herself because of who her family was. They make her feel trapped and she just wants to be free. Emerson felt her paintings were like his own pain, painted on the canvas. I loved how he pursues Daphne and she wants nothing to do with him because she feels like he will just be another man to keep her in a different cage. And jeez ... when he does finally break down her walls, she goes with him expecting to be able to leave, and to her surprise, he doesn’t plan on letting her go! I’m so excited for the next book!
