How do you say goodbye to the one who holds your heart?
Payne Emerson should never have been behind the wheel, or on that stretch of road. It’s all my fault. The nightmare I feared most has come true and the boy I love is paying for my mistakes.
No matter how loud my screams or how deafening the sound of my heartbreak, he can’t hear me.
I am alone in this fight.
But I am fierce in my love.
And I will find out who did this.
My name is Sunday Grace Easton, and it’s time to make them regret the day they decided to take him from me.
♥Ruined Things is the fourth book in the suspense-filled Folkestone Sins series. While it is possible for this to be read along with the third book as a duet, to have the best reader experience it’s recommended to begin the series with book one, Fragile Things, where the characters and their world are introduced. As it is part of an ongoing series, this book does end on a cliffhanger.
**This is a friends-to-lovers, angsty, mature new adult high school romance with a twist. It contains situations and flashbacks that may trigger some readers, including drug use, mental health issues, foul language, and scenes of a sexual nature.**
Ruined Things was exceptionally written. The entire series is. It’s addicting and once you break open the book, you will not want to put it down. Kids need to eat? Looks like it’s cereal!! Hubby needs clothes? Turn them inside out. Just kidding!! I was drawn to Payne and Sunday and felt like I knew them. I also felt the pain that erupts. The story is so angsty, raw, and real. I loved every second and can’t wait for the final book to come out.
Although not necessary to read the entire series in order to read Ruined Things, it will better your reading experience. You will be able to get to know that characters better and get a feel of their backstories.
This book is the fourth installment of the Folkestone Sins series. While you don’t need to read the first three books, I highly recommend you do. You won’t be disappointed. From the second I picked up this series I couldn’t put the books down. If I would have read them as they came out I think I would’ve gone insane waiting for the next. I mean, it’s seriously killing me just waiting on the last book to come out as it is. As you guessed the books all end in a cliffy.
Sunday and Payne are soulmates but the only ones that don’t see that are Sunday and Payne. They’ve grown up together, been best friends forever, and basically have been there for each other since they both could remember but to admit they love each other, good luck.
This book is filled with angst, heartbreak and is full of hot and cold. IT WAS SOOO GOOD!! I was needing this series in my life. It was such a fast read but absolutely kept every second of my attention. I loved the friendships in this series and the family dynamic inserted but the craziness and the rollercoasters made it so much fun to read. Just when I thought I knew was going to happen, BANG…just kidding. Great book to an amazing series.
