Ruined Things (Folkestone Sins, Book Four) by Samantha Lovelock: Release Blitz + Double Review

Title: Ruined Things
Series: Folkestone Sins, Book Four
Genre: New Adult High School Romance/Romantic Suspense
Release Date: June 29, 2021

How do you say goodbye to the one who holds your heart?

Payne Emerson should never have been behind the wheel, or on that stretch of road. It’s all my fault. The nightmare I feared most has come true and the boy I love is paying for my mistakes.

No matter how loud my screams or how deafening the sound of my heartbreak, he can’t hear me.

I am alone in this fight.
But I am fierce in my love.
And I will find out who did this.

My name is Sunday Grace Easton, and it’s time to make them regret the day they decided to take him from me.

♥Ruined Things is the fourth book in the suspense-filled Folkestone Sins series. While it is possible for this to be read along with the third book as a duet, to have the best reader experience it’s recommended to begin the series with book one, Fragile Things, where the characters and their world are introduced. As it is part of an ongoing series, this book does end on a cliffhanger.

This is a friends-to-lovers, angsty, mature new adult high school romance with a twist. It contains situations and flashbacks that may trigger some readers, including drug use, mental health issues, foul language, and scenes of a sexual nature.

Ugh, we are back with Sunday and Payne. Here I thought I would get a nice cozy ending and the book ends on a cliffhanger.
Payne has the best parents and even though he’s had his fair share of heartache, he’s still wholesome and full of life.
Sunday is fierce and loyal. She fights for those she loves so hard. If only she could gift her heart just as hard.
When news that derails her life surfaces, she is forced to once again put others first, but the very thing that may save her life is what she’s pushing away.
I loved seeing Poe and Stella in the story. It’s always nice to revisit old friends.
These two are combustible and all of their sex scenes are steamy and I’m more than here for it.

In this book, we meet Payne and Sunday. They are in the original books as well.
Sunday has a painful past. It seems like the rich and powerful have no shortage of enemies and even if the issues are far from home… it’ll come back to bite you.
I really liked this book. I liked the characters and the plot.
I can’t wait to get to the end of the series. I want to see what happens to all the people there.
This book ends on a cliffhanger, so get ready to be devastated because you'll fall in love and you have to wait till the next book comes out.

In the series ….

Her guy means the world to her, and so does her cat; sometimes even in that order. Her Mum is her hero, hands down. She's a proud Queen of Innuendo, champion of Name That Tune, and has never met a cliffhanger she didn't like. She lives in the foothills of the beautiful Canadian Rockies with her British cowboy and their Norwegian Forest Cat, Winston Churchill.
