Broken down on the side of the road wasn’t how I pictured my first stint with independence and calling my mother to let her know I already need help is completely off the table.
Throwing insult to injury, Mr. Tall Dark and F*ck Me has come to my rescue, strolling in like some Knight in shining armor.
Hudson Maxwell, with his chiseled jaw and striking grey eyes, looks under the hood of my car like some sort of Greek God, sent to test my will.
His wicked mouth flirts with me, saying all the words any girl would want to hear. Especially me. He’s been my unattainable crush. The man I could never have.
But now? He doesn’t know who I am, fully grown and far from the little girl he last saw.
So as he continues his assault on my libido—unaffected by the rules that would keep us apart—I have to ask, do I stop this charade, or do I cave in and taste him just this once?
One moment is all it takes.
One move to wreck your world.
Alyssa Rogers, with her hypnotic green eyes and luscious lips, was that for me. The siren that sang me straight to my demise.
I should’ve seen her for what she was. A trickster and a thief.
But as the walls cave in, our forced proximity forcing us closer and closer, the answer becomes clear.
Come hell or high water, Alyssa Rogers needs to go.
What to expect:
Acts of Mercy is a book with everything you shouldn’t like but do. It has steam, drama, loads of passion, and oh so taboo. Lusting after her step-brother is a hard no, but Alyssa can’t seem to find fault in it. She has wanted him for as long as she can remember but never acted on it because he is her family, after all. However, when Alyssa sees an opportunity to sneak into Hudsons pants, will she take the blessing in disguise or will he see right through her guise and shoot her down?
This is the 5th book in the Men of WRATH series, although it is not necessary to read the others beforehand. Acts of Mercy is a stand-alone, although I will now be going back and reading the others since this one was so great. Eleanor Aldrick did an amazing job at keeping me entertained and turning the pages as quickly as possible. 4 stars!!

Writing about yourself is hard. Writing about yourself in the third person is even harder.
Instead of giving myself all kinds of accolades and touting my writing prowess (or lack thereof), I'll just share some of the bits that make me who I am. Sound good? Good.
Reading has always been a big part of my life. Growing up, my mother would walk into my room well into the wee hours of the morning only to have to tell me to put my books away and sleep.
If you're a bibliophile like me, I'm sure you can relate.
I never stopped reading nor did my love for it diminish. As time passed, my reading tastes evolved and I found myself devouring romance novels left and right (find me on Goodreads). So naturally, when I found myself unfulfilled with my learned profession, I turned to write the books I loved to read.
It started as a hobby but with my husband's encouragement, it grew into what it is today, the start of my new, and very much loved career.
I hope that my story serves as an inspiration and that regardless of where you are in life, you are able to follow your dreams and give yourself your very own happily ever after.
