In this book, we meet Katalina and Rome. Two people involved in some shady stuff.

Rome was born into it, it’s all he knows. He’s loyal to a detriment and it makes him both really valuable and very dangerous. Hence why he thinks he’s a monster.

Katalina was supposed to have a different life. One her father moved to America to provide for her. Unfortunately, life doesn’t work that way. Forced to do things no one should have to do to provide she collided with Rome and his people and thinking she’s be safe... she entangles herself with them.

She was wrong...

While she may have thought found her makeshift “family” after losing hers, she didn’t know the whole truth.

Now she has choices to make... Rome or “home”. Will they prove that love matters or is loyalty and loneliness too strong.

We won’t know... because it’s only book 1!!

I was screaming at the end! I needed answers, like now.

It was a great book and the characters were well done. The H seemed unnecessarily stubborn sometimes, but the H made up for it. He was yummy. The intimate scenes were great and they have real chemistry. I still wish that the series ends in a throuple, because I really liked Bastian. He needs his own book or to be with these two.
