This book ... WOW! Talk about an epic start to a new series. I must tell you that I don’t think that I have ever loathed a book character as much as I do Cade. This man...this BOY is such an egotistical, overly privileged, rotten to the core being. Cade is held up to the highest standards, therefore he can do no wrong. Everybody bows down to the elite Eligere, even if they can’t stand him.

When Mia falls for another, Cade will see to it that his life is made a living hell. Bexley happened upon Mia by chance and it seemed like kismet when they locked eyes. Bex can’t and won’t stay away, but that just means that not only his life; but Mia’s life hangs in the balance. They battle it out at each and every turn of this book, but I am rooting for Mia and Bexley. They have to prevail. Their love has to be kept alive. I am waiting on pins and needles for Tarnished Crown (book 2) because Shattered Legacy leaves us in a cliffhanger and I have to know what happens next, now!!!

Caitlyn Dare has quickly become one of my favorite author duos. I love dark bully romance and they nail it every single time. Make sure to start the Gravestone Elite Series as soon as humanly possible. You won’t be disappointed.

Caitlyn Dare knows what she is doing with these cliffhangers and tons of unanswered questions. Secrets and lies have wound their way into and around Mia and Bexley in the first book of this new series. Bexley lands at Gravestone after causing too much havoc and turmoil in his hometown; only to be pushed into something even more sinister.

Mia is Gravestone born and bred; only she hates it and everything it stands for … including the traditions. Poor Mia gets thrown into the game for reasons she doesn't understand. Being in love with the one you are not supposed to love, and promised to the biggest a**hole around is enough to drive her insane. However, she knows she has to play the game if she wants herself and Bexley to survive. Even so, how many lies, and how much hurt and heartbreak can one girl take?

This book ends on a major cliffhanger with so many unanswered questions that your own mind will be on detective mode. Nevertheless, you will definitely not be disappointed!!!! I can not wait for book 2!!

“You’re his… you think I want to dip my end where that fucker has been?”

“He hasn’t… I’m not…” I swallow desperately. “He can’t touch me. Not yet.”

“No?” That piques his interest. Bexley studies me for a second, time ticking by in a painfully slow fashion.

“So he hasn’t felt you here?” His hand drops from my neck and skims down my spine to the curve of my ass. He grabs a handful and squeezes.

“No,” I press my lips together, fighting the urge to moan. My heart is a runaway train in my chest as lust clouds my thoughts.

“And here?” Bexley skims his other hand up the flat of my stomach, toying with the shell of my pale pink bra.

“Never.” A soft moan slips from my lips as his thumb rolls over my nipple.

“You want more?” It’s a gravelly challenge.

A small nod has Bexley groaning.

“You’re a bad girl, little mouse. And I’m going to have so much fun,” he leans in, licking a line from my jaw to the shell of my ear, “devouring you.”

“God, yes.” I tilt my head to the side, giving him more access. I’ve never been touched or talked to like his before. I know I’m not supposed to like it… but I do.

And I want more.

I want Bexley to make me forget. To make me feel.

I want him to mark me as his own so Cade has no choice but to discard me.

Suddenly though, Bexley tears away from me.

“What’s wrong?” I ask, my stomach sinking.
