Kellie Dare was never meant to be mine. We existed in two different worlds. Mine was dark, dangerous, and unpredictable. Her’s held prestige, wealth and promise. I was never her white knight but allowed her to believe it until the day she forgot she was mine. I quickly became the villain who would stop at nothing to keep her.

Pretty, Twisted Lies is a great contemporary romance. Lots of ups and downs, twists and turns, making it an adventurous read. Young love has always been a favorite of mine.

Money, power and greed seems to be a huge commonality among Kellie’s parents. Mostly her father, but nothing can attest to the fact that secrets line her life when it has to do with her family. Just when you think that it can’t get worse, it does. She’s looking for love, acceptance and success. All in a day’s work, right? Kellie has her work cut out for her and Kiptyn will make sure that she receives everything she wants in life. Love makes you do things you never thought imaginable. For Kip, his life has always been a struggle and he’ll be damned if he’s going to let those he loves to get anything less than they deserve.

I adored this book. The writing is free flowing, and it has a lot of detail into the lives of Kiptyn and Kellie. Lots of background and insight into their souls. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves adventure.

I really enjoyed this book. It has a great story line; the characters are amazing, and the writing is wonderful.

Kiptyn (love that name btw), has had a hard life. He lost his dad and had to help his mom run their bar. Then she got sick and he was doing everything by himself. At seventeen he learned to be hard and tough and show no weaknesses so people would take him seriously.

Kellie has had the opposite life it seems. She is severely privileged and at boarding school when she meets Kiptyn. At first, they are friends, both wanting more, but I do love how the author didn't go right to sex with them. Even with the issues they each have; she built the characters up by making them friends. It allowed us, the reader, to get to know them better. For a good chunk of the book there aren't many characters, so learning about them was nice.

I did enjoy this book, but it is LONG. There are lots of words. I personally like a faster paced book. But don't let that take away from this, I just like being honest in my reviews. You will need a little extra time to read this. It would be perfect for an upcoming vacation or even if you are still home in quarantine.

Highly Recommend!
