She hated him
because he slept with her sister, then left. Granted, she knew that he hadn’t
meant to leave like he did, unknowingly and unconsciously leaving his son
behind, but that didn’t change the fact that he had.
Five years
later, and she still dislikes him just as much now as she did when he chose the
wrong sister to take to his bed.
Maybe if he’d
chosen her, her heart wouldn’t be broken, and his wouldn’t be untouchable.
But when a SWAT
officer sees his life flash before his eyes, and decides that enough is enough,
what’s a girl to do?

Whew! I really was excited for Booth’s story and boy was I not disappointed!! So, I’ve seen some bad reviews for this story but if you actually read the book then you get the whole story. Everything in life isn’t black and white, sometimes we need to move past what we “think” rather than the truth of the matter. There isn’t a book that I don’t absolutely love of Lani’s.
Booth makes a mistake when he is 18 then he’s off to the Army with multiple deployments. When he’s done with the military, he moves home to be with and help raise his son.
Dillan’s crush sleeps with her twin sister which totally devastates her. She’s moved on and helps her sister raise the sweetest little boy. When Booth comes back she’s still a little angry but she works with the whole situation and finds herself falling for Booth again but can she ever get past Booth and her sister being together all those years ago?
This book was a little out of the ordinary for a Lani Lynn Vale book, but it kept it so interesting. I love the craziness Ms Vale instills in her books. There is never a dull moment. This was an amazing story that was full of love and I laughed quite a bit too!
Oh my goodness
is Jokes On You packed full of drama and craziness. And of course, I loved
every single moment in the book. I’m so happy we got Booth’s story. Everyone
and their brother knows that Dillan is the one that he should end up with.
Timing was never right, until it was.
I love this love
story with all of my heart. A badass military turned SWAT man will make any
woman’s heart go pitter patter. Add in a down to earth woman who loves kids and
a passion for baking and you have a match made in heaven. I am just dying to
get Bourne’s story in Join the Club. Just one month to go!!
