has been playing nice.
He’s been biding
his time, giving Calloway the space she thinks she needs.

her taking photos of his friends in all states of undress, talking to them all
as if they’re best friends, and that little thread of control he’d been
managing to hold onto unravels.

I have been waiting for his sexy butt for quite some time now. Add in the fact
that we get his story as well as Calloway’s makes for one amazing book. With
the SWAT kids all grown up, each new story makes me giddy.
I’ll tell you
what, Calloway can hold a grudge! I felt so sorry for Louis, but he never gave
up. Once upon a time, he broke Callie’s heart, but he regretted that decision
every day of his life. Therefore, the last thing he’s going to do is walk away
again.
These two have
amazing chemistry and holy cow is their sex off the charts. The cute thing?
Friends knew they were destined to be together; it was only a matter of time
before it happened. Knowing they grew up together makes for an even better
story. I love how they all end up in each other’s books. Even if their story
has already been written, we are still getting bits and pieces of their lives.
Lani never ceases to amaze me. I simply cannot wait for Booth’s story in Jokes on You.
I was ecstatic when I heard we get Spurlock’s story! Lani sure didn’t disappoint, not that I thought she would…she always keeps me on toes!
Calloway and Spurlock have a history. They not only grew up together but had a young romance that ended in an ugly way. Spurlock knew he was making a mistake, but he had no clue as to how HUGE of a mistake that was.
Calloway is a spitfire which she needs to be since she’s a nurse at the local high school. She also has her own blog and magazine. She is a hot mess when it comes to Spurlock, even after a few years…when she sees him again it all comes back full on. Can he penetrate the armor that surrounds her heart?
This book was quirky and fun. I loved the banter between Calloway and Louis. They have the best chemistry and know how to make it steamy. I still have yet to come across a book by Ms Vale that I didn’t totally love. There’s always a flare of drama and suspense and let’s not forget the hot sex! I honestly couldn’t put this book down and I am impatiently waiting for the next Vale book to hit my kindle!
