Writing together
for the first time, New York Times bestselling authors Kylie Scott and Audrey
Carlan team up to tell a story that not only is a beautiful escape during a
trying time, but a true lesson on the power of humanity’s ability to survive.
Through a sexy, hopeful, strangers-to-lovers romance, the authors prove with
love, trust, and faith, we can conquer anything.
This is a first for me for both Kylie Scott Audrey Carlin and WOW! I think I’ve been hiding under a rock! What a power duo! I think this story was pure genius and hits home for so many during this pandemic among us all.
Evan Sparks is going through his own personal hell when he finds out he is on lockdown. The kicker is that he’s not home but at his best friend’s apartment hiding out from the media frenzy he’s immersed in. Evan is a professional football player and his name is mixed up in a scandal that may end his career. Trying to keep his mind occupied he spends a lot of time out on the balcony and he gets a glimpse of his neighbor.
Sadie Walsh is said neighbor and she is in a slump of her own. A writing slump that is. She’s a romance author that has found herself with nothing to write about until she lays her eyes upon Evan.
This book was SO fun and SEXY!! I absolutely loved the chemistry between these two! I couldn’t get enough. I really didn’t think there would be much to this book but was I wrong. I was hooked from the start and didn’t want to put it down. The only bad thing was there wasn’t more to the story. I would’ve loved some insight as to what the future holds for everyone in the story. Other than that, perfection!!!
