has never really been a girl that does what she’s told. Mr. January won’t have
to save her. She can dang well save herself.
What a way to
start a new series! Lani Lynn Vale always knows how to pull at your heart strings
and keep you coming back for more.
Dax is now all
grown up, served his Country and now serving his community. Rowen has her hands
full with wicked women. For some reason, they are not a fan of hers. Maybe it’s
bad luck, or maybe it’s just straight up jealousy. No matter what it is, it
brought her into the life and arms of Dax. Nothing could be sweeter than that.
The chemistry is off the charts and the way that he protects and admires Rowen
is so absolutely swoon worthy.
Lani is an
amazing writer, with descriptive abilities, so you always feel at one with the characters.
I have waited for this story and can not wait to see whose story she gives us
next!
So, I don’t
think there is a book that I don’t love by Lani Lynn Vale and this one is no
exception. She just has this flow to her work that I absolutely love.
Rowan is finally
figuring out that the man she has loved for a long while is just not what she
thought he was. In fact, she was ready to move on, so she quit her job and left
for her hometown and start fresh. Fresh ended up without any hair and a
possible lawsuit…but things look up for her when she sees Dax again. He helps
her get back to a normal life, but the crazies always seem to come back.
This book was a
fun, fast read. Lani’s books always tug at my heart but all the while has some
twisted bitches smashed in the middle. I love the drama and the loved that’s
packed into every book!
