I'm a
madman...she's my cure.
Once upon a time
there was a devil and his bride.
His hell awaited
her while she tried to hide.
He found her and
trapped her inside.
Where she had no
choice but to stay at his side.
**Madman's Cure
is book 2 of the Madman Duet and should be read after Madman's Method.**
Here we go.
I have a confession:
I am guilty... While reading this book I got frustrated and wanted to give up because I am impatient and wanted the answers now. I had to work for them in this book and I had to work hard. I'm no stranger to VF's brand of dark and twisted crazy, so it wasn't too hard for me to convince myself to hang in there, but I am worried about those people who are not familiar with Masons' brilliance. I'm afraid they won't see it through and miss out on an amazing story. This is the reason why this book has a half feather less than perfection.
Now on to the perfection. I LOVE the Sociopath duet and I LOVE getting a visit from an old friend in this book. I think it was the perfect brotherhood of serial killers. The way the two stories parallel each other and the devastating things that was done in both and the way our heroes take back power had me cheering for the serial killers, things you never thought you'd do. I actually loved the villain in this story as well. Not as affectionate love but he was a good villain. Same crazy but dark... is there a such thing as a light serial killer? This may make me seem crazy but my favorite thing is the ending. I cried when I realized that the cure wasn't to stop the hunger, just the madness. It's why reading that my favorite Sociopath was still at it, made my heart squeeze. While I understand the trope 'love conquers all' I think it's a fairy tale. Love doesn't conquer nature, it molds to it and makes it acceptable. So to see that love, molded to who he was and made it pure made me swoon.
Don't give up, twisted bliss is to be had.

V.F.Mason always
loved reading books and had quite a few fights with her momma over the genre
she liked (romance, duh!) She went to university to study film-making and
thought that would feed her desire for stories but that didn't happen.
Finally when she
was tired from all those voices in her head, she sat down and wrote a book. It
was a huge decision to make and she thanks her friends and family for
supporting her in it.
When she is not
writing, she can be found with her friends doing all sorts of crazy things or
reading recent romance books that were written by her favorite authors.
