Shouldn’t Have You Is the second installment to the Fractured Connections series. Both of the books in this series can be read as standalones however, I did feel a little lost at times. I have not read Breaking Without You but after reading this one I feel like I should.

Harmony and Brendon both carry the guilt of the loss of Moyer. They both knew each other before Moyer came into the picture but Harmony pushed everyone away after the death of her husband because it was a constant reminder. She is trying to find herself and who she now when Brendon falls back into her life.

I did like the book and thought that Ms Ryan has a beautiful writing style. It was intense and broke my heart. The authors note at the beginning of the book really tore me up. I can’t imagine losing my husband, he is my world. My heart goes out to those who have lost their universe and I pray they find it again.
