I wish I was cool enough to have read the other six books before this one, but I didn’t and I’m sad.  Don’t get me wrong you don’t need to have read the other six to understand this one. It’s just once you’re reading and you meet the other characters you want to know all about them as well, then you realize that they already have been introduced and you missed it.
Dani is a new to me author and she gained a new fan. This book is sexy, dark, flawed and sweet.
I enjoy books where the characters have flaws and insecurities, but someone can see past them and grab what or who they want by the horns and take the ride.
That person was Chance. He knew who he wanted and didn’t let anyone’s insecurities get in the way not even the stubborn Dom Oliver. He didn’t even let the fact that there was a third in the mix as well.
Cayleigh was strong and wanted to strike out on her own from under the thumb of her brothers and father. A tragically made widow she has a definite type. I was hoping when reading this book, that she would’ve taken a liking to Chance and Oliver in a more romantic way. I understand that not everyone is cut out for a threesome, but oh my heart was hoping.
Oliver was strong and fierce, and he took mess from no one, except his dad. His story is so tragic, and I don’t want to give it away, but just know that when you read it prepare for heart break so strong it steals your breath away. The fact that he can go through all he’s been through and still be strong is a testament to him. I loved him.
This is a great book and I look forward to going back and reading the past ones.
