He is the one
that never looks her way.
He is handsome
and strong.
He is rough
around the edges and mean.
He is everything
she’s ever wanted.
He doesn’t even
know she exists.
Her life is a
joke.
***
She doesn’t step
on cracks in the sidewalk.
She laughs at
inappropriate times.
She talks when
she shouldn’t.
She is clumsy
and trips on air.
She is finally
on his radar.
God help her
now.
When an author
can make you laugh from just a character’s clumsiness, you know you’ve found
the one. I kind of felt like I was reading about myself!! Lani Lynn Vale has
some amazing lead and minor characters. No matter how much of an introduction,
or background given, you fall in love with each one. In Hissy Fit, we not only
love the leads, Ezra and Raleigh, but the minor characters ... Camryn, Johnson
and Morgan, to name a few. We really feel the pain, the joy and the love from
each. Lani’s writing always seems to grab hold of you and not let up, until the
very end.
Hissy Fit is a
sweet, romantic sports story. I adored the personal touches throughout the
book, relating to her personal life. She has a zest for life, love and
laughter, and it shows. I can only hope that Lani continues to pump out these
one of a kind books. I guarantee that I won’t miss a single release. Happy
reading!
OMG, this book totally blew me away! Like all of Lani’s books, I couldn’t put it down. This one had a different flare to it, and I felt as if I could relate to it that much more.
Raleigh is an accident waiting to
happen. She teaches at the local high school and even the students get a kick
out of how clumsy she is. With the klutziness comes being shy. She’s been in
love with the same guy since she can remember, but never acted on the crush,
instead she watched from afar.
Ezra is the football/baseball
coach at the same high school Raleigh teaches at. He’s always been the popular
jock everyone loves. He isn’t looking for a relationship per se, but, when Raleigh
basically fell at his feet, his eyes were shockingly wide open.
This book kept me rolling with
laughter. I loved the klutz that Raleigh is, totally reminds me of myself. When
I think jock, I think cocky. Ezra was nowhere within those perimeters. He is a
big teddy bear and I was pleased with how much so. This story was chocked full of
emotions, but they pull you in tight. What an amazing way to start this new
series!!

When she’s not
writing, you can find her curled up in her favorite chair reading.
Lani is married
with three children and lives in the Great State of Texas.
