How parents can be like this in today's time just makes me angry and makes me want to shake some sense into them!!

The two men couldn't be more opposite. One growing up privileged and the other......normal. They both have their family downfalls but Jesse's takes the cake!! Jesse's father....just WOW!

The writing is amazing!! The way the fantastic Ms. Witt tells the details of the story without having it drag is just talent! I loved the depth of the characters and the story is just wonderful. After you get past the angry part!
