Adeline

It was completely unexpected. I’d never imagined he would come into my life. From the moment I met him, I knew there was no going back. He made me feel things I had never experienced before:
Safety
Love
Happiness
I was floating on air. Nothing could touch me with him by my side. He became my everything.

Smiley

I’d never expected my life to change upon walking into the Devil Souls MC. At first glance, I almost fell on my ass, and I knew I had to have her. She was everything I never knew I wanted, and hell if that didn’t stir something in me. Adeline gave me something I had been missing my whole life:
Passion
Desire
Contentment
I’m the retired president of the Grim Sinners MC but, in the end, you never really leave. The Devil Souls and The Grim Sinners clashed and were brought together to fight the biggest battle yet.

We had to protect our families at any cost.

This story has great capabilities therefore, I give it a 3.5. However, it seems to lack in quite a few areas, for me.

What bothered me quite a bit was the fact that there was no description given about any of the characters. I like to envision who I am reading about. There isn’t anything that makes it personal and made me connect with Smiley, Adeline or even Alisha. Secondly, I feel as though the story needed more conjunctions. Most people, when speaking to each other will say the words I’m, you’re, we’re, etc. It felt kind of cold and robotic. Is it proper speaking? Yes, absolutely, but at the same time, too formal. Situations also happened way too quickly. I don’t need sex in a book... it doesn’t matter if it’s there or not, but seeing as it was the couples first time together, I did expect more than two sentences describing their intimacy. Unfortunately, it lacked passion and romance.

I just know that this story can go so much further, if it was just a bit more relaxed and descriptive. This in no way means that I feel as if it’s a horrible story, because it isn’t. This story has tremendous potential, but as a blogger, we do have to give honest reviews. Smiley can be one amazing story, because the work is there, it just needs to be expanded upon.
