This book is one of the reasons. Her books are entertaining, fun, sweet, sad, romantic and full of life (and sometimes death). They are real, honest and relatable. Her characters are your friends, her family like your own and the subject matter something you can relate to.
I live in NC about three hours from where Hurricane Florence is getting read to hit our coast. My family spent the day preparing for winds and more rain that anyone can imagine. Even me!!! It's expected to be a doozie!!!
And I just finished a book about Ocracoke in North Carolina. It was fabulous and heart-warming. I love all of J.L. Berg's books and she keeps raising the bar on every single one.
