What’s wrong with my butt?

She means those words to be directed toward the woman beside her, not him. But he can’t stop himself from answering. Not when her ass is the most magnificent thing he’s seen in his life.

Apparently, answering her with ‘not a damn thing’ wasn’t what she was expecting.

She likely wasn’t expecting the baseball she took to the face at his next at bat, either.

All it takes is one ill-fated foul ball, and George Hoffman, Lumberjacks center fielder, falls head over heels in love with Wrigley Field—and yes, that is her real name.

From that point forward, George and Wrigley fall into a fast whirlwind love that ends with them eloping to Vegas. And he has his potty mouth, titty bar owning, pain in the ass grandmother to thank for it.

Not that he’s complaining or anything.

Who wouldn’t want to be married to a woman that made his heart race like he was in the final game of the World Series?

The only problem is trying to convince her of that.

I was completely satisfied with this one!! Lani is back in full swing (Did you see what I did there?)!! My heart, OH my poor heart! The ups and downs and the crazy shenanigans….what more can you ask for?

Furious George Hoffman is well known for his temper. He plays center field for the Lumberjacks.

Wrigley Fields is as you guessed it named after the baseball stadium. Her siblings have the same theme going on, Dodger and Diamond.

How these two meet is kind of hysterical, I love that about Lani’s books. You’d never think this stuff up on your own!!

This series brings me back to the Dixie Wardens series. Not MC at all but the witty banter and off the wall but totally plausible scenarios. Oh, and she most certainly has to pull on our heartstrings a bit too. Loved everything about this book and seriously cannot wait for the next one!!

This right here is what I have missed. Quit Your Pitchin’ checked all the bases. The banter, the backstory, the sports, the drama. One of my favorites, by far.

When Wrigley agreed to go to a game with her sister Diamond, she never expected to come almost in contact with a ball, but also the star player, Furious George. The hilarity between the two is nothing short of real, then throw in his Grandma and you have family. The girls brother Dodger is a real winner and does nothing but try his best to do his worst.

What is always great about Lani’s books is that you always get the stories of other characters. Being updated on their lives is what I look forward to. Never forgotten.

Grab yourself a copy of Quit Your Pitchin’ and fall in love with Wrigley, Furious George and a little surprise!

In the series:

Pitch Please
