SYNOPSIS:

“I was in a relationship with two men and neither were giving me up.”

That thought flashed through Charlotte’s brain like a bright neon light as she followed her husband out of her marriage counselor’s office.

The office where she’d sat twice a week as she tried to repair the glaring problems in her marriage.
The marriage that she’d fought hard to save to a man that wasn’t fighting alongside her. She’d been lied to, ignored and used as a pawn to climb his ladder to success. Charlotte was broken, not just her marriage.

But, then she met Dr. Montgomery and everything changed.

They say love is patient and kind of course, but what happens when that love comes at the cost of everything?

Love was a force that took no prisoners when it decided to strike and Charlotte had been hit—hard.
By a man that wasn’t her husband.

By the very man who was supposed to save her marriage.

Wowzers!! This book should come with a trigger warning!!

This story follows Charley and William. Who isn’t her husband by the way. That’s Matt!!  They are seeing Dr. William Montgomery to fix their marriage. He fixes her heart instead. This book was real, deep and tender.

I thought Dr M was going to be a creeper when I first  read the story. I just KNEW it. Some of his behaviors were irractic and alarming, but it gets explained during the thick of it and it makes sense. Whew, had me worried, I was swooning hard for him too.

I’m pleasantly surprised by this book. Some of the material is very sensitive and have been known to turn readers off towards the person, so its a risk to do that with one of your main characters especially one being championed as the protagonist.

You feel bad for Matt, but also not. It was like a paradox, you were rooting for the dissolution of Matt’s marriage all the while feeling pity for him. There was no protagonist or antagonist at the end.
The true hero of this story was Charley best friend Lauren. Shes the MVP of best friends. Loyal, but she calls Charley out on her crap as well.  It’s a two part-er do you don’t know the ending yet.  Lets just say, I hope shes worth it, I hope they're happy and get what they need and I may need to move to GA.

This book got 4 &1/2 stars because its a cliff hanger and because Charley and Dr. M's relationship is sometimes over the top and unbelievable. That purchase.... what??? you'll see what I mean. Still its a good story and a refreshing twist to traditional romance novels.
