Her whispered prayers break her...
At night, as she’s drifting off to sleep, I press my ear to the door
and listen to her heart wrenching pleas to bring her father back. Her words are
agony to my healing heart, but I cherish the sound of them, for that’s the only
time I ever hear my beautiful daughter speak. Since her father died two years
ago, she’s grown quiet and withdrawn. Catalina’s Valley is to be our new
beginning, a place where my family and I can heal, but what we find there is so
much more.
Scars mar his body. Pain has darkened his life…
Three years ago, I lost the two things I cherished most in the world.
They were ripped from my arms in the most painful and cruel way. Since then,
I’ve kept to myself, preferring to stay away from the pitying looks and the
uttered rumors. Everything changed when she and her children barged into my
life. It was an accident, not meant to happen, but I wonder if maybe it was.
A tortured soul meets a damaged heart…
A lonely man, a widowed woman, a carefree boy, and a broken girl… Can
the four come together and help heal each other? Or will fear of the unknown
and guilt of the past keep them apart?
This story struck me right through the heart, gripped it and tugged through
their entire journey. I cannot say enough positive things about this book. When
it was over, I was left reeling and needing more. Each book that I have read
after Whispered Prayers of a Girl, just does not measure up.
Alexander … a man with a broken soul, that doesn’t want to be
repaired. He leads a lonely, depressing life that he feels he deserves. Gwen … a
woman with a broken family who is looking for a happily ever after, for the
sake of her children. That is what I love so much about this book. It’s a love
story for the entire family. Can anything repair the damage that has been done
to sweet Kelsey’s 8 year old heart, who feels at fault for her daddy’s death?
How do they preserve daddy’s memories for the 6 year old sweet boy, Daniel? Will the tragedy that Alexander has gone
through be relatable to this family and help heal each other’s pain?
Alex Grayson made the words on the page flow so incredibly smoothly.
There was no jumping around or feeling lost. This story is seriously
incredible….just out of this world. Please do not allow yourself to bypass one
incredible, loving and happily ever after read. Don’t do that to yourself…pick
up Whispered Prayers of a Girl today!
