is a story of the power of love and everlasting happiness. No matter what life
hands you, Jessie and Ellen show us that they can beat the odds. Whether by determination,
self-preservation or just sheer will power, any obstacle can be overcome and
love always … always, wins.
This novel was much more to me than a love story between a man and a
woman. This is also a love story between a father and son. Jessie loves Linc
like the oxygen he needs to breathe. Jessie’s heart beats because he has his
son … his heart and soul. The bond that these two have is quite literally, awe
inspiring. When push comes to shove and Linc’s mother wants everything their son
has to offer, Jessie sees through it and fights for what’s his. It will be a
cold day in hell when he loses custody of his son, especially to a cold
hearted, drug addicted, gold digger. The problem is … will Linc see her for who
she is or does he just want his mother in his life?
The way that the Dixie Wardens MC rallies around their own is so heartwarming.
Lani Lynn Vale has added another spectacular novel to her collection of pure

I
know I say this EVERY time but man, these stories just keep getting better and
better as the series goes on. I loved Jessie and Ellen’s story the most so far.
Maybe it’s because of how relatable it is with my own life to a point but I
honestly couldn’t put this baby down.
Ellen
was left heartbroken fourteen years ago and hasn’t moved on since. She thought
she did then Jessie showed up in her life again and those inconsolable feelings
came back with a vengeance along with anger.
Jessie,
as you guessed it is in the MC. He has had a rough life. He had his son (Linc)
at a young age and has worked his tail off to raise him solo. He knew he was
going to just hold Ellen back when they were young so he walked away. What
Ellen didn’t know it was one of the hardest things he’s ever done in life. Now
that she is back in town will he keep pushing her away?
Wow,
I still have all the feels for this story. I loved the love Jessie has for his
son. It’s not too often we see a man give up everything for his kids. Jessie melted
me to my core. Ellen was great too. I loved the passion between Jessie and
Ellen. It makes me wonder how many people truly let their one true love slip
away.
So,
the story was AWESOME, it had the right amount of drama, passion and pure stubbornness.
It wouldn’t be a true Lani Lynn Vale book without it! I’m still wondering where
the hell she gets these off the wall stories from? Either way, I laughed, cried
and swooned…then laughed some more. Next, we get GHOST! If you are anything
like me, I have been impatiently waiting!! I can’t WAIT!
