Sean is a man with needs—needs that a lot of women were ready and
willing to fulfill. Yet, the only woman that he wants to fulfill them dumped
him for another man. A man who’s a member of his MC and is someone he has to
see every single day and twice on Sundays.
He’s bitter and angry. He’s definitely not in the right frame of mind
when it comes to dealing with women. Which is unfortunate for his new partner,
Naomi, a fresh-out-of-school and totally green paramedic.
---
Naomi’s got enough problems on her plate. A brother who’s
self-destructive and doesn’t care who he takes down with him. A man who she’s
in love with but who doesn’t love her. A job that she hates because it is a
constant reminder of what she can’t have.
Desperate to distance herself from her problems, she runs, taking the
first job in her field that she finds willing to take on someone with so little
experience.
The last thing she needs is a perpetually pissed off partner,
especially when he sets her blood on fire.
But life doesn’t ask how much you can handle when it dishes out
challenges. It just keeps piling them on until you’ve bested them or you’ve
buckled under them.
---
Sean really doesn’t want to like his new partner, Naomi. He just wants
to be left alone to live his life however he damn well pleases and without
complications.
Naomi doesn’t care what he wants, she can’t be anything but herself.
It isn’t long before she’s breaking down his walls and making him feel again.
She’s trying to pull him closer and he’s pushing her away.
It’s not long before Sean sees the error of his ways. It’s too bad, though, that by the time he realizes she’s the one,
Naomi’s already gone.

Sean and Naomi … be still my
heart. These two are the real deal. They are everyday people, living their
everyday life and seeking out what everyone else is looking for. Normalcy,
acceptance and love.
Sean cannot stand partnering up
with new people. He doesn’t like change and he wants things to run the way that
he sees fit. He doesn’t want to like that cute, curly haired blonde tid-bit of
a woman, but damn it if she doesn’t worm her way into his heart. Before he
knows it, he sees Naomi. He really sees
her and he likes it. Naomi is no non-sense and a badass in the medic. She can
pull her own weight and jumps at the chance to work. Sean is totally down with
that. He knows that she is who he needs riding on the back of his bike.
When he finally has Naomi there,
someone else is chomping at the bit to take her away. What is not known is that
this woman is a fighter. She won’t back down, so if someone is after her, she
is willing to fight. With everything that Naomi has been through, she will be
damned if her happiness will be compromised.
This story has quite a few ups and
downs and I will admit that my heart was torn to pieces at one point. So much
emotion, change and turmoil, although I promise that you will get your
HEA. Another big win in the book world
for Lani Lynn Vale. Add Sean and Naomi to your shelf today!
Holy
COW this book set my emotions on a whirlwind of crazy madness. I laughed, wanted
to throat punch someone, cried, and fell in love all in the same book. I
honestly can say Lani Lynn Vale sure can write. I don’t know where she comes up
with this stuff but I can never put her books down.
Naomi
just has all the luck. If bad luck counts that is. She was run over by her
brother, yep…her own brother and is in love with someone that is untouchable.
To get away from all the madness she moves and starts over in a new state with
a new job. Clean slate and all.
Sean
has had a bought a bad luck as well. He falls in love with a quickness but it
never works out for him in the long run which has left a bad taste in his
mouth.
Naomi
and Sean are paired up as paramedic partners and actually work well together
once Naomi makes her point that she’s not putting up with Sean’s crap.
I
thoroughly enjoyed this book, it had everything I love in a story. I haven’t read
a Lani Lynn Vale book I didn’t love. Naomi had some flare to her and Sean was
intense. Absolutely ahhhmazing!!!
