Head Tripped by Nicole Archer

Title:  Head Tripped
Series:  Ad Agency
Author: Nicole Archer
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publish Date: April 10, 2017

Violinist Effie Murphy moved to New York to pick up the pieces of her life. After six months though, she’s still broken, not to mention flat broke. But everything changes one weird night, when she meets Elias, the lead of one of the hottest bands in the world. Except, she doesn’t know that. She also doesn’t know he’s taking off on his European tour in a few days.
Elias hates life in the spotlight. So when he meets Effie at a random party, he pretends to be an unemployed deadbeat musician. Why not? He’ll never see her again. Except, he can’t stop thinking about the wild woman who helped him write songs that night.

I absolutely love this book. We are back with book two of the Ad Agency series. In this series we have Effie, the sister to Callie that we met in book one.
We got  some bits and pieces about her in the first book, but it was no nice to get more of her story.
I love how raw and real this book is. It deals with rough issues with charm, class and a lot of hilarity. In book one we find out she stole her sisters money, and I honestly expected to find out that she didn't do it and that it was a misunderstanding. I love that she owns that shit, she took the money. No cookie cutter band aid over the truth, only straight no chaser.
"Elvis" is amazing as well. I love reading stories about people with terrible backgrounds. I loved that in this book I had people to hate, but most importantly I had people to root for.  All in all this book made me laugh, it made me cry
(Down with the bloody red queen)
and I couldn't put it down.
This book is number two in a stand alone series, but I highly recommend reading it first to better understand the relationship between the sisters. Five fabulous, flirty, fuck-tastic stars.

Nicole Archer’s lengthy career as an advertising copywriter not only polished her writing skills—it provided a lifetime of book material. Many months her book purchases are as high as her mortgage. As a full-time, working single mom of a beautiful, brilliant, and horrifically energetic son, she has little time to do much else but work, write, read, drink wine, and breathe. In real life, she lives in Dallas, Texas, but she’d rather live in Switzerland. Maybe someday.
