Raven is a tortured soul. The things that she has seen and gone through is horrendous. Raven was literally strung up and left to die. She was also witness to July (Wolf's sister) being tortured and left with just a thread of life to hold onto. This is where she meets Wolf. Her savior and her hero.
Wolf saw the horrible way that Raven was tortured. He was there to rescue her and take down the man that forever ruined her. The man that took Raven's sanity, her confidence and her trust. The day that Wolf met her, was a day that will never be forgotten.
Raven has lost the ability to trust and Wolf is determined to be the one to win that back. The day that Raven left Uncertain, is when his life changed. He knew that he wanted her in it. What Wolf didn't predict is all the turmoil that they would endure. Someone is after them. Wanting to torture them. Wanting to kill them. It seems that anyone connected to Raven needs to be taken down. It is now that Wolf's integrity will be tested. A nice plot twist enters and wow ... I did not see that coming, although the story would not be what it is, without it. At what lengths will Wolf go to protect Raven? Will this bring them closer together and allow Raven to love again? Is Wolf enough? Will Raven survive?
Lani's writing is so beyond amazing. She is in a category all on her own. The details and background that is given, makes you feel as if you are right there with them. Fighting and loving right along side. The banter between Raven and Wolf is excellent and many times, had me laughing out loud. They definitely hold their own!
The Uncertain Saints series is definitely in my top 2016 reads. Make sure to pick up your copy today!
Finally Wolf's story. LOVE him so much. He's so alpha and sweet and amazing.
Lani is awesome! That's all there is to it. The way she tells a story is just amazing! But the difference in her writing is the details. There are so many details in this book, ones that especially just stood out for me. It's these details that just bring the story up to the five feathers it totally deserves.
Neither Wolf nor Raven feel good enough for each other. So, you have that back and forth that's always so exciting. Plus the story is written in both points of view, which I love.
Raven is in danger and it's partly Wolf who got her there. Add in a surprise family member, an amazing dog, an MC club, hot bikers and you've got one hell of an exciting story.
