Pakhan's Rose is Dominics story, twin to Damian from the Sociopath Books.
He's so dominant and sexy and consuming.
We meet up with him when he meets Rosa, there's a little overlap between books so that if you didn't read _Sociopath_ (0_o seriously? Read it!) you won't be totally lost. Then we get some back story on her and him of what happened to him after Damian left captivity. (I was so proud of him). This part of the story broke my heart and it "irritated my allergies" I don't know what it is but I really felt a connection to Dominic. My heart bled for him and my soul weeped reading those words.
He's so strong and vulnerable, and its that vulnerability that makes him dangerous. He wants so bad to feel "normal" but knowing he can't because of his circumstances has made him embrace the beast, the delicious, alpha, strong beast. So we get the best of both worlds. Sweet, charming and charismatic Dominic, then we got The Pakhan. Yum. Both extremely humpable.
There's a line in there I read over and over again, because in like two sentences it described why I loved him so much. These few sentences showed, the strength and vulnerability I spoke of. It shows us a bad ass Pakhan and an even badder assed Dominic, it's my favorite non-pervy line in the book.
She was mine.
Mine and no one else’s.
Rosa
Five years ago, life delivered a blow I barely survived.
On the edge of desperation, I thought my dreams were
never meant to come true.
Thanks to Sociopath, everything changed for the better.
The life I so desperately wanted was within my grasp as
my future brightened.
I couldn't have been happier.
Until the Pakhan of Bratva decided I belonged to him.
Pakhan
Darkness and nightmares of the past surrounded my life.
Bratva became my home, accepting me with open arms.
I gave everything to it, my heart and soul.
Until my eyes landed on a picture of hazel eyed beauty as
she woke up every possessive instinct inside me.
Rosa Giovanni became mine.
Unfortunately for everyone involved, it meant declaring a
war between the Bratva and Cosa Nostra.
Man with the dragon tattoo
When Don and Pakhan focused on their war, the danger to
their precious Rose escaped their notice.
Hiding in the shadows, I waited for the perfect time for
my revenge.
Let the game begin.
Warning: Can be read as standalone, although it’s
connected with Sociopath Duet series. Pakhan is a two part series.
18+ due to sexual content, profanity, abuse, graphic
violence and adult subject matter.

WOWWWWWW! What just just happened? What did I just read?
Holy cow. V.F. Mason knows exactly what she's doing and how to pull her readers
in. A little bit of romance, a LOT of want, a dash of sadistic thoughts, a huge
helping of possessiveness and you have yourself Pakhan's Rose.
My gosh. If you liked (or in my case LOVED) the Sociopath
series, then the love doesn't stop there. It continues with the Pakhan series.
I must tell you that this book is not for the faint of heart. You must be
strong and power through. I can't tell you how many times I screamed at my
kindle. What?!?!?! Are you serious right now? Are you kidding me??? All true
folks...those are the words that came out of my mouth.
We pick up with Dominic, where we left off with Damian.
We get to know Dominic and all of his possessive ways. We learn why he is the
way that he is and how he was raised in the Bratva. Yeah, it was touched on in
the Socio duet, but V.F. gave us the nitty gritty and really dug deep within
his past. Be prepared to uncover some real and raw emotions.
The moment that Dominic set eyes on Rosa, he was in
immediate lust. He claims he doesn't know what love is. Dom doesn't want to
know what it is. His past while being held captive, hardened his heart. What he
does know is...his desire to claim Rosa. He wants his "krasavica." He
doesn't want any other man even looking at her. The possessive hold that he has
on her is pretty damn hot, if you ask me. Of course, Rosa will fight tooth and
nail against being claimed. She is one tough cookie. Being raised as a Cosa
Nostra princess will do that to you. Mafia daughters are not to be messed with.
This girl knows who she is and what she wants and she will stop at nothing to
get it. There is one HUGE factor that stands to wreak havoc on this
relationship, though. Her father, the don of the Cosa Nostra. Definitely not a
man to be second guessed.
I love the fact that we also, still get Damian and
Sapphire. I love those two like no other, so seeing the relationship build
between the two brothers is wonderful. Even though years kept them apart, they
are still there for one another and protect each as they should. As a matter of
fact, Dominic's whole world changes at the wedding of his beloved brother,
Damian. This is where the devil is brought in and I screamed at the top of my
lungs. Now...I will not tell you what I yelled, I'll just let you read that for
yourself. Just buckle up, hold on tight and enjoy the ride.
Make sure to pick up your copy of Pakhan's Rose and watch
the love story unfold. I am beside myself with want and need of Book Two. Is it
out yet?!?!

It gives me the lusty shakes every time I read it. So strong and sexy.
Okay on to Rosa, I loved getting her back story, as well. We learn so much about her. As I say whenever I find a heroine that isn't weak and whinny; she kicks ass. I love that her life is falling apart and she's fighting and fierce. She's not defeated and in some of the situations no one would ever fault her. I only wish I could connect with her more as much as I connected with Dominic.
This book is so delicious. The teasing alone will have you drowning in your own desire. They tease us a for a long time, but when they come together it was electric.
Perfect all the way around. I love the writing, it's so alive and once you pick this book up, Dominic will kidnap you, and you will not be able to put it down.
V.F.Mason always loved reading books and had quite a few
fights with her mama over the genre she liked (romance, duh!) She studied
filmmaking and thought that would feed her desire for stories, but that didn't
happen.
Finally, when she was tired of all those voices in her
head, she sat down and wrote a book. It was a huge decision to make and she
thanks her friends and family for supporting her in it.
When she is not writing, she can be found with her
friends doing all sorts of crazy things or reading recent romance books that
were written by her favorite authors.
