Have you ever read a book that frustrates you so much you want to scream? This book frustrated me, to no end. It did so in a good way though. To me this means I was invested in the story and the characters.
Walker is the flirty pseudo playboy with the heart of gold. He possesses all the charm of the south and a penchant for talking filthy in the sack- so he's perfect.
Then we have the complicated Callie, the sarcasm is strong in this one. Given her background I forgive her difficultness and applaud her strength. She's been through a lot so my frustration with her came from a loving place. I wanted her to get out of her own way, I care. These two mismatched people have to take a road trip and the chaos that follows them is gold. Obviously, they are attracted to each other and sexy time ensues, but they have a chemistry that made me feel like they could be friends just as easily.
Now the juicy stuff! Sex is a complicated thing to write. Its more than putting naughty words on a page. Trust me I'm a connoisseur of naughty words on a page. This is more than that, the sex comes alive, I love that they're loud and unashamed and just organic.
So what does a crackhead twin sister, a pot smoking grandma, artist and a phallic shaped RV have in common? A fucking great read and a great time is what. I highly recommend this book.
