August is bitter and cold.
Two people he loved most betrayed him.
Winter is hot and sultry.
She’s the enemy’s daughter.
A blowout fight between Winter and her dad sends her straight into August’s waiting arms.
But August doesn’t want to hold her…he wants revenge.
The two are an explosive combination whenever they’re together. August antagonizes and Winter pushes back. Under all the hate burning between them is an attraction so intense, neither can ignore it.
It’s only a matter of time before it consumes them both.
Red Hot Winter is a taboo story of an older man and a younger woman. I must say that I was kind of weirded out for most of the story. I had to get into the mindset that when you find love, age doesn’t matter; unless of course, it’s over the line.
The hurdles that Winter and August had to jump over were many. Between her parents, his ex-wife and his daughter, it’s no wonder that August tried to keep his distance. He knew that they wouldn’t understand. August also doesn’t want to feel. He was devastated by the wrong doings of his wife. Trust is no longer. However, when you learn to let go and let life just be...lovely things can happen. You can find love. You can find that person, no matter the circumstance.
That is what I took away from Red Hot Winter. Live your life. Find your happy. Search for your special someone. Good things happen to those who wait and Winter, for one, proved that theory. She waited years to have her tall, dark and handsome and she doesn’t regret one second of it. Great story and I can’t wait to see what else K Webster is bringing to the table!!
